More about me:
HI everyone, I am Becca Rhodes, I am 22 years old, and I am from Bountiful, Utah. In May 2013 I will graduate with my Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education. I live a very unique life. I have two dads, two moms, four sets of grandparents, one biological brother age 18, one homeless/foster(ish) brother age 19, and six step siblings (all older than me). Basically, that is what you get when your parents get divorced and then both get remarried. I love my life, and my family. I graduated from Viewmont High School and was excepted to Dixie State on a Presidential Academic Scholarship as well as a music scholarship. Music is my passion in life. I have recorded vocal music for a company called Sunshine Audio since I was three years old. It was here that I discovered that I loved to sing. I have been in multiple performing groups and have always known that I wanted to go into some sort of a musical career. I play the viola and a little piano as well. Another part of my life that I absolutely love is giving service. I love helping people. During high school, I was my city's Youth City Mayor and a Youth Court Judge. I loved helping and serving my peers and still do. At the college I am part of the performing and recruiting group called Raging Red. We tour the local high schools and perform and teach the students about how to choose the right college for them and let them know how important college is. We have even toured to China twice! I love working with high school students and cant wait to get to teach them in a classroom of my own! When I get my degree, I will be qualified to teach choir, orchestra, or band on a secondary education level. I can't think of anything better than combining my passion for music and my passion for helping people into a career and getting to do it everyday! That is why I am here, at college, in this major. I want to change people's lives through music.
